Recycling of items not listed above
If you have an item for recycling not listed above and you are not sure where to take it, please don't leave it at our volunteer run recycling station. Please contact your local council, go to the Recycle Right WA website recycleright.wa.gov.au or contact us for more options.
Note: We do not recycle Blister Packs, Plant Labels, Oral Care Items, Glass Jars, Light globes or Batteries
Thank you for your cooperation.
We also have coffee grounds to collect
You can collect coffee grounds for your compost and worm farm from a bin adjacent to the Recycling Station.
Why has our oral care collection is closed?
Our oral care recycling collection has been suspended. This program was funded by Colgate who paid Terracycle to process the oral care items. Colgate have ceased their funding as they are now making their toothpaste tubes from a recyclable plastic.
We have been unable to find any other program that will process the oral care projects at this stage. We will continue to search and advocate for an alternative way to recycle these products.
Until there is a way we can recycle them we are unable to take them.
In the meantime you can:
- remove the caps and lids from tubes and put them in with our lid collection.
- break open the floss containers and remove the insides and metal cutter from the top. The boxes can then be put in the no 5 plastics bin.
Or
- buy a box from Terracycle (teracycle.com.au) which includes the postage and recycling costs. Fill it with your used products and send it off.
Please don't drop of your Oral Care items to us at this time. We thank you for your support and understanding!
